  • Profile of the Region

The Hudson Valley region in New York State extends from Westchester County just north of New York City to the southern border of Albany. The historic Hudson River flows through the valley, which incorporates large and small urban centers, suburban towns and villages, and rich farmlands. The Hudson Valley is home to the United States Military Academy at West Point in the scenic Hudson Highlands, as well as numerous historic estates. The final resting place of President Franklin D. Roosevelt is located in Hyde Park in Dutchess County, and Kykuit, one of the Rockefeller family homes, is in Westchester County.

NorMet member hospitals are as diverse as the communities they serve. Although different in size, location, services and patient population, our members share a common commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate patient care.
